grandetech Posted December 22, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted December 22, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Today I was shooting with my R8, suddenly I notice the viewfinder LED display not able to light up at all, even after I changed a pair of new battery. Other than this problem, everything is fine, the shutter works as I took a shot after that, the backpanel LCD display also working. I love this camera so much but I am afraid the local Leica distributor will charge very high especially when sending the unit to Germany from here (Hong Kong) is required, not to mention the labor and parts from Leica Germany depot which may not justify for this used unit I bought from ebay for Eur450 a month ago. Â Anybody has such experience of repairing this symptom from 3rd party technician? Or anyone has experience of sending back to Leica? I would like to know the experience of others in order to seek for an economic way to fix it, or give up and send to Leica distributor here, thanks. thebarnman Posted January 6, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted January 6, 2013 From green to yellow? Â That's WEIRD!
marknorton Posted January 14, 2013 Share #4 Â Posted January 14, 2013 Go on, tell us why you think that's WEIRD?
thebarnman Posted January 14, 2013 Share #5 Â Posted January 14, 2013 Because every time I'd pick up that R8, I'd be reminded of bananas, banana peppers, corn, lemons, pineapple, lemon sour candy balls and yellow M&Ms. Â Bottom line, it's the only camera I know where it would be advisable to eat before shooting.
