bideford Posted December 17, 2012 Share #1 Posted December 17, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Opinion seems divided on the best lens code for the Voigtlander 50mm 1.1 on the M8 between the Summilux 1.4 or Noctilux 1.0. Advice would be appreciated! James
Advertisement Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Hi bideford, Take a look here Lens code for Voigtlander 50mm 1.1. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
k_g_wolf ✝ Posted December 17, 2012 Share #2 Posted December 17, 2012 Took the NOCT 1.0-code for my 1.1-lens. Results are fine but I never tried the 1.4-code. I wouldn´t think you would be able to make out a big difference in the actual results. Best GEORG
bideford Posted December 17, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted December 17, 2012 Thanks GEORG - I'll try that. Awaiting delivery of (used) lens - it is probably coded anyway - but at least I know what to expect in advance.
k_g_wolf ✝ Posted December 17, 2012 Share #4 Posted December 17, 2012 Here is something you can expect from/ with your new lens. Taken at f1.1. A good decision, enjoy. Best GEORG
Ecar Posted December 19, 2012 Share #5 Posted December 19, 2012 I coded it as a Noctilux f/1.0 for use on both M8 and M9. The difference with the Summilux f/1.4 code is slightly noticeable on corrected M9 images, and should be even smaller on the M8 due to the smaller sensor.
