Second Holland meet-up

I would like to propose a second Holland meet-up, while I am still here. I would like to get to know more of you, better. I would like to exchange ideas and opinions about photography and art in general. I spent $5,000 to be here... so let's get some stuff done!

But. I have a suggestion... and this one might be hard.

... but you all like a challenge, right?

:)

I propose a response to an aural art work. In other words, a photographical response to a piece of music. You are a modern photographer, I propose a piece of modern music.

John Cage - Sonatas and Interludes for prepared piano [2/5] - YouTube

If this helps you formulate imagery, the piano is "prepared" with screws, bolts and washers between the strings. Respond to the sounds or the idea of the way the sounds -themselves- were manipulated.

So let me be clear about the idea: if an image is taken and posted here, and we play the assigned music while viewing the photograph, the two things go together like one piece of art.

So none of this talking about cameras stuff... there's an assignment! :)

And, if the music isn't your taste, think of it like a job. It goes to print, tonight, and is on the street, in the newspaper, tomorrow morning.

ibid, I was going to write some facetious, but the music was sufficient to convince me otherwise (against my natural inclinations initially). This is OK, many thanks for introducing me to it.

#2 is remarkable (as are the other pieces, by the way, but I don't think you need to be reminded of that). No.3 is Arvo Part like, no idea if that is a compliment, I guess JC would not care a toss anyhow.

I'm in if possible, obviously.
