rpsawin Posted December 2, 2012 Share #1 Posted December 2, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just picked up a lightly used D-Lux 5 with a Leica EVF and handgrip. So far I really am impressed and am looking forward to a day out shooting with it. Most likely I will be posting a list of questions after a few outings. One question I have is about the use of a SF 24 with it. Does anyone have experience doing so and if so are there any issues I should be aware of? Thanks and Best regards, Bob
Advertisement Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Hi rpsawin, Take a look here Just bought a D-Lux 5. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
gshay Posted December 2, 2012 Share #2 Posted December 2, 2012 Hope you enjoy it! Had mine two years and think it great. You might read the book by Alexander S. White ' Photograph's Guide to the Leica D-Lux 5' very good reading for this camera. Cheers, George

NZDavid Posted December 2, 2012 Share #4 Posted December 2, 2012 Likewise, a great little camera, enjoy! I have the SF-20 but haven't used it with the D-Lux. Just try the SF-24 and see. The inbuilt flash is pretty mild but useful for fill flash sometimes.
rpsawin Posted December 6, 2012 Author Share #5 Posted December 6, 2012 I had a chance to use the camera for a bit yesterday. It was daylight so no flash. So far I am impressed and look forward to more outings. Best regards, Bob
xalo Posted December 7, 2012 Share #6 Posted December 7, 2012 Hello, have fun and really use it as much as you can. It gets better the more you know it, including its limitations (for me: jpeg iso >250, flare, sluggish zoom when in a hurry). I have mine with me everywhere since two years. Cheers, Alexander
