Englander Posted March 20, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 20, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) The new edition of Photomechanic now renders thumbnails and larger previews of Leica DNGs for sorting, rating and labeling. It does not render 100% views as for NEFs but it is great step forward that Apple should follow. PM has been a critical part of my workflow for the past 5 or 6 years and I am glad to be able to use it again with all my raw files. Another great addition to the new edition is the integral use of a Controlled Vocabulary for keywording. There are also some web-making improvements or additions but I haven't used them and can't comment on their utility. Joe

Guest Jeffryabt Posted March 20, 2007 Share #2 Posted March 20, 2007 This is welcomed news indeed! I'm PhotoMecanic dependent.
Eikonphoto Posted March 20, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 20, 2007 Excellent ..... I knew they were planning on it in this next upgrade, but since I am also Photomechanic dependent, I've been working around it until the upgrade is rolled out. I will check for the update. Guest Jeffryabt Posted March 20, 2007 Share #4 Posted March 20, 2007 It seems that as yet it is only the Beta version. But the Beta versions don't last long with PhotoMechanic. We will have the full fledged version soon.
