Johanb Posted November 18, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted November 18, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone! Â I'm since a couple of weeks a very pleased X2 owner. Truly a lovely camera. Â But of course I have a slight problem. The camera goes into some halfsleep mode (is it after monitor timeout?) and has to be woken by semipressing the shutter. I've missed more than one shot due to pressing the shutter all the way in sleep mode and with suprise missing the sound of the shutter. Â Is there any way around this or does one have to remember semipressing from time to time to prevent the sleep?

pop Posted November 18, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted November 18, 2012 Hi and welcome. Â I don't have an X2, but my digital cameras all do that in order to save battery power. Â I take that into account by lightly pressing the shutter release while raising the camera to my eye. By the time I am ready to take the shot, so is the camera. The wake-up time is short enough for this.
Bill Allsopp Posted November 18, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted November 18, 2012 You can probably alter the sleep time through the menu
metalbernd Posted November 18, 2012 Share #4 Â Posted November 18, 2012 You can easily set the time on 10minutes in the menu.
Johanb Posted November 18, 2012 Author Share #5 Â Posted November 18, 2012 You can easily set the time on 10minutes in the menu. Â Well not really. The 10 minuted is for the real sleepmode with lens withdrawn. I'm talking about the internediate sleep that's for only lcd. It's maximum is one minute. Â Guess it's just a matter of remembering to semi-press then.
