bab Posted September 26, 2013 Share #41 Â Posted September 26, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) This a beautiful bag - I sure wouldn't object to having one. Not really a need though, as I have a Billingham 550. The 550 is as good a bag as anyone could ever want or need IMO. Â the styling is very stiff on the billingham bag unless it was previously experienced for ten years or more it really doesn't appeal to my tastes but...a wotancraft has style and it's built like a tank. Â I think I own twenty bags one can never refuse buying a great bag, I use a bag for carrying my equipment from location to location. when it get to where I'm going to shoot the bag stays in the car or hotel I don't walk with a bag been there done that. I take out what I'm going to use and carry for the day. Â The Wotan is overkill I have sent them a drawing for have them make me a custom bag for my Leica gear the changes that were asked for were NO zipper flap Pockets on the ends at least big enough to hold a strobe or light meter and or lens. A pocket on the back with zipper or short flap. Inner dividers set up to hold M with lens in center and one lens on either side. Front pocket two ply outer with two compartments side by side to hold filters and back pocket to hold misc. Small pocket on main flap outside Inside on ether side of lens compartments small pockets big enough to hold batteries, light meter, gray card, wireless tran-rec. Non slip on shoulder strap - and I'm mean non slip also iphone holder on strap. Velcron sealed money or passport pocket inside behind three compartments. They told me they were working on a new design that I would like I saw the new design love the look but still not there. If I were to carry a bag to shoot and work out of it would have to stay in one place on my shoulder or slung cross the body. The end pockets need to hold things that are easy to pull in and out of but made so your things won't fall out. My ideas are simple what's inside packed and zipped up for transport gets put around the bag so it functions as a portable table. 99% of the bags are made to keep your gear safe but not for using as a portable table. Â I'm still waiting for wotancraft which are bitching looking bags the best look I've seen to produce a leica holding and working contraption.
