pgk Posted October 10, 2012 Share #21 Â Posted October 10, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) BTW I rate the summarit better then the summicron for my tastes..... In the 35mm and 50mm Leica range IMHO its either the summarit or summilux. I'd tend to agree, and having owned all three I'd suggest that the current 35 'cron would sit at the bottom of my (short) list. Â FWIW Leica don't make budget lenses (self evident from prices), nor do they make poor lenses. All three 35mm M lenses perform extremely well. And also stating the obvious, you are unlikely to lose much money on a Summarit if you do trade it up (I didn't) even at current prices.
Advertisement Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Hi pgk, Take a look here 35mm on a budget. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
skinnfell Posted October 12, 2012 Share #22 Â Posted October 12, 2012 My recommendation is to first look for a second hand summarit 35, if that is not possible, then a moderately minty summicron type 4. Â That said, I would personally prefer to start with a 50.
