andybarton Posted March 16, 2007 Share #5 Posted March 16, 2007 How are you scanning these, Thomas?
thomasw_ Posted March 16, 2007 Author Share #6 Posted March 16, 2007 Hi Andy: I do not have a scanner. I have them scanned to a CD at a local photoshop. Though this second attempt is okay-ish, I find the original file looks so much more vivid than either of these. I don't have any great software, I am just using seashore to resize the 6.5mb original scan. That may be why I am losing so much? Thomas
Artichoke Posted March 17, 2007 Share #7 Posted March 17, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) a fine brace of crocuses lovely color, light & composition translation to the web always loses a great deal and much more so for a film based file, I am afraid your second file seems fine, but I am certain is not anywhere near as stunning as the original
thomasw_ Posted March 17, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted March 17, 2007 thanks artichoke, though this does seem to be the case. I am disappointed with this result, as you can not make out the glistening dew on the green that is readily apparent on the original.
