I looked around and of course have difficulty to buy Arista Premium cans from US since it adds tax and shipping.

Im fan of films that can pushed far as Trix (my favorite) and HP5. I like grain but Im open for other films so long it is cheap and good deals elsewhere in Europe . I have loads of IMXOO so I also want to see and compare 18rolls already prepared to 30,5m cans in price.

its time to supply stock for me. I will buy some discounted APX from Germany of course, 2 euros too good to pass up :)

Im curious about what did you find good deals whether 30,5 cans or pack of 20 rolls 36exp. How about cinema bw as Orfto? (dont remember right name)

For example I thought maybe Hp5 has good price in UK compared to other countries. I see HP5 costs only ten dollar more than Arista Premium in Freestyle, not bad.

Scandinavian Photo usually has bulk films but I see they're currently temporarily out of several of the BW.

Macodirect also has 30m rolls though not of Arista.

Ag Photographic has roll film too (here's HP5).

Nordfoto has 30,5m rolls of several films and 17m rolls of FP4 and HP5.

Where in Germany have you found APX for 2€ apiece?

philip, thanks for links. I dont think there is good prices

I usually check Fotoimpex and Macodirect. Not many sites though. I hoped to find Hp5 bulk 30,5m for sub 50€ in Uk since it is "home" film but guess no . Normal is 60€

re APX, it is Macodirect if you buy 10 you get 23 euros. I say approx price to motivate me, hehe.

However in bad I found something good. Kentmere 400 can be have for 37 euros per bulk in maco. Perfect! Also a few developers support this up to iso 3200! yeah.

I remember I could had Retro 400, Fomapan bulk for 20 euros not long time ago. Times change fast. I was stupid not to stock up but I hope Kentmere 400 is new formula and is gonna long last time.

sjefjans, IMXOO canister is best imo. Very easy to load and it can used several times. It is only in condition if you use old film camera untill M6 TTL. Doesnt fit on M7, MP, M6TTL original but easy to modify backplate of ttl if i rememmber right.

btw with IMXOO it is vey smooth to load with lever ;)

fotohuis, glad to see you here. Id like stock up hundred rolls worth. So even 300m can is cool. I have to figure first how to divide the large one to 30m/100m without much damage :D

I start reading about Orwo, one wrote that one from India paid 100m for 32 euros. Too good price! I will ask different distributors about prices. Likely 2-3x more price in Europe.

Re, n74 iso 400, is the grain similar to trix, hp5 ie non t- grain ?

you seem have good contact with Maco. I read somewhere that RPX ceases to exist because Ilford doesnt allow to repackage under another brand? Whats future of Kentmere 400? it has good price and relatively new reintroduced formula, hope it sells well and Ilford remains.

I look forward to test Kentmere and Un57 on iso 1600-6400 when I do research on developers at first.

RPX100/400 is an export emulsion from Harman/Ilford. Like Kentmere papers selling under Adox brand they are producing this also for Rollei-Maco. The RPX-D developer (made by SPUR for Rollei) is excellent for push development till E.I. 1600 for the RPX400 film.

No original Ilford brand is sold to a third party.

In fact difficult 120 roll film, like Rollei IR-400 (an Agfa Gevaert product) is spooled in Mobberley by Harman. The more regular roll films by Fotokemika/Foma. Also the 127 roll film was done by Efke / Fotokemika. So that is a problem now!

Kentmere 100/400 is the cheapest emulsion made by Harman. It is also containing a minimum of Silver and cheap acetate layer.

N74+ is in fact cine film. But with a bit good choosen developer it is not too bad. In fact the Bergger 400+ film is using 1:1 N74+. THE reason it is only available in 135-36.

For UN54 the same. It is like Double X (Kodak).

For 122m/400ft rolls you can order directly at the OrWo Filmotec factory in Germany. More rolls = less expensive in transport of course. About Eur. 1,- each meter.

Prices at Maco for Rollei emulsions are good. Even less then I can offer for the Fomapan emulsions. But of course you're free to order at my Fotohuis. And up from Monday 1 rst October I have to charge 21% VAT instead of 19% :(

It is crisis every where.

Best regards,

Robert
