The first picture doesn't work for me but the second is excellent with the composition, the patterns, the subtle colors and the sharpness. I also like the light at the bottom of the picture. I think it adds to the picture.

Thank you for your comments Paul.

 

For me, the first shot appealed to me as a mathematician when looking the contact sheet. And with enlargement, I liked the blur, which reveals the rapid, shaky and perhaps frightening movement of the elevator done the edge of the CN Tower. With too much enlargement however, the blur overwhelms. This shot only looks well in a smaller print size.
