Maloup Posted September 4, 2012 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I bought a used M7 last year, unfortunately from a private seller, not from a dealer. In the beginning evrything seemd to be oke but than little by little the led"s from the exposure meter disappeard an after a while they were totally dead. The exposure meter itself seems to be oke, also the shutter is working. Anybody expirienced this problem too,and is it difficult to repair? Greetings, maloup

marknorton Posted September 10, 2012 Share #4 Posted September 10, 2012 The M7 uses the same technique as the M8/M9 for displaying the shutter speed and metering information and I showed it here: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m8-forum/67857-anatomy-leica-m8-framelines.html#post702298 Assuming Leica has the parts, it's a simple repair. It may be the connector has simply come loose or else the LED display needs replacing. It's best to send the camera to Solms.
