johnloumiles Posted August 23, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted August 23, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone tried one of these polaroid backs from Japan? If so are they only good for exposure checks or is the quality good enough that you could scan them at a high resolution and get a decent image out of it? Â Thanks! wattsy Posted August 23, 2012 Share #2  Posted August 23, 2012 John, I've used one with a Nikon F4. From a Polaroid perspective it is a total waste of the medium - you get (for obvious reasons) a 35mm sized photo that is totally lost on the 4¼" x 3¼" film. The result is also not very sharp so would not be suitable for enlargement. It only really works as a means of checking exposure, lighting ratios and composition. Guido Posted August 25, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted August 25, 2012 From a Polaroid perspective it is a total waste of the medium I second that. I once had one for my Hasselblad. The somewhat larger 6x6 format didn't yield any suitable scan result either.
