I've searched for "Leica M Entry Set, M7 Black + 50mm F2 Lens 10546" and combinations thereof already, so no sm@rt ar$e (or a$$ for our colonial cousins) remarks :D

So my question is what is the difference between the individually bought 50mm Summicron F2 11826 and the 50mm Summicron F2 lens in the "Leica M Entry Set, M7 Black + 50mm F2 Lens 10546"?

None whatsoever.

Olaf's right. It is just a "marketing convenience". Otherwise no difference.

Regards,

Bill

Thanks guys for the info. Sounds like the better way of picking up the lens and M7, pity they don't do the M9 in a similar deal.

I'm surprised Leica isn't offering a silver MM + 50 APO matched set in a nice collector's box for $30,000, considering who will be buying this camera.

Rick

You've missed to point here. It is a black and white camera so it' should be available in all white too. The black part is easy.

Or better yet how about a salt and pepper combo boxed set?

After waiting over 10 months for a Noctilux I decided to buy the 50/2.0. It is such a nice lens I will now just keep it for use when I want to small 50 to carry. You will love how it renders. I find it hard to justify the APO after using this nice lens.
