Leica x1 viewfinders

For the X1 you have essentially two choices. The Leica 36mm OVF or the Voigtlander 35mm OVF. I personally think that the Voigtlander is a better deal. It comes in black or silver, it is half the price of the Leica, all metal construction (instead of plastic like the Leica), has a brighter bright line and IMHO looks better on the X1 than the Leica. On the other hand, the Leica OVF has "LEICA" written on it. That may or may not sway you towards buying it. :-)

I use the Leica SBLOO 35 mm viewfinder which in my opinion looks better than the x1 vw model. It is a joy to use. I bought it at ebay.

Before I used the Zeiss 432/5, which is smaller in size and also looks good on the camera.

Of course the view of the SBLOO is much bigger and brighter.

I'm using my viewfinder from my DL4, which is a 24mm, but has a marking for 35mm too.

It's slightly wide, but I can't justify buying a dedicated 36mm for the X1.

I've seen used DL4 viewfinders being sold for as little as 100€. I think that's a steal.:)
