Janek Posted March 11, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 11, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear friends! As I have mentioned a few weeks ago in this forum, I went to Istanbul. Back then I promised to share some photos with you. Here they are. All of them were taken with M6 and f:2/35mm. Thanx for looking. Greetz, Janek PS:Please spere me the usual comments like you can hold a Leica straight and can focus an image! In my opinion this is b...... A good image is a good image no matter if it is focused well or not!

A good image is a good image no matter if it is focused well or not! Dear Janek, I would rather say that a good image is a good image if it is focused where it is supposed to be. Cheers, Jan
milsu Posted March 12, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 12, 2007 I also have a small problem with holding the camera straight. I noticed many of my vertical shots are a little rotated to left, because the camera was rotated to right. I guess that's because of the weight of my right arm. But some more concentration will hopefully fix this.
lifevicarious Posted March 12, 2007 Share #4 Posted March 12, 2007 My favorite is the second one but I also like the third. I don't mind the tilts as I know in the 'heat of battle' it's not always easy to get the camera straight. I would however in the second one do some dodging on the faces to brighten them up a bit. But all in all, nice shots! I get my M6 in the next day or so and am looking forward to getting some good results as well!
@bumac Posted March 17, 2007 Share #5 Posted March 17, 2007 I like #2 and 3.
frc Posted March 18, 2007 Share #6 Posted March 18, 2007 All the world's up side down. And a photographer isn't allowed to tilt his camera? See things in the right perspective. Focussing on the minor kills photography. Janek, your pics have atmosphere.

PaulGuy Posted March 21, 2007 Share #8 Posted March 21, 2007 I recently picked up my first Leica M6 and had several out of focus shots. After years of using nothing but SLRs my brain says if it's focused in the viewfinder it's focused. Some I knew as soon as I tripped the shutter and re-did, some were a surprise. I'm sure it will get sorted out as we use the camera more. Paul
ai1 Posted March 21, 2007 Share #9 Posted March 21, 2007 Garry Winogrand, easily one of the masters of 20th Centruy photography, took many of his photographs skewed. It is an honorable tradition.
