WayneNor Posted July 31, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted July 31, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just picked up a used X1. The previous owner registered the camera but did not download the Lightroom software. Is there any way I can get the download?
Advertisement Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Hi WayneNor, Take a look here Lightroom Download. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
rich_ Posted August 1, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted August 1, 2012 If he has the key that you can use, then you should be all set? I think when you reg it, it gives you the key. It did for me with my X2 anyway. I'm not sure what version it would be, or whether Leica allow you the free upgrade from 3-4.1 Â Thanks Rich
spylaw4 Posted August 1, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted August 1, 2012 If you are having trouble then an email to Customer Service at Solms can be helpful. They can de-register the previous owner and re-register it to you (proof of ownership needed) which should then release the unused download(s). You will need the TAN number from the previous owner. Â I did the same...just contact Leica N.J. via email and you will be set up...they were kind and quick for me!

WayneNor Posted August 1, 2012 Author Share #6 Â Posted August 1, 2012 Wow. I just picked the camera up a few days ago. It looked unused so I went onto the Leica website and entered all my data. It recognized me as the owner and gave me the directions for downloading Lightroom. Just got done downloading it. Now I have to figure out how it works! Don't expect to become an expert in Lightroom overnight. It takes time. But it is worth the effort. Start with the Adobe Lightroom tutorials and work your way through them. I have used LR since the first version and I am still learning new techniques. Â Don't forget the Library module. Sensible use of that feature can save much time hunting for pictures.
