MEB Posted July 30, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted July 30, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and if there might be a cure before I have to send the unit in for repair: Â I have the SF58 flash that I use with my M9. I prefer to use it in Automatic mode setting. I found that the TTL setting is not especially accurate and the pre-flash does cause blinking in people with fast reflexes (like my grandchildren). The problem is that the camera keeps resetting itself to Manual mode with whatever settings it prefers at that moment. I have had several pictures ruined because I carefully set up the flash in Automatic and in the time it took me to focus and push the shutter release, the flash reset itself to Manual. Â Am I doing something wrong or is this a defect? Â Thanks, Mark Blumer

madNbad Posted July 31, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted July 31, 2012 Perhaps a firmware update? Perhaps the flash is trying to drag you back to a time of guide numbers and logarithms?
