nyckylim Posted July 27, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted July 27, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey guys, Â I am a previous owner of the x1 and have recently purchased the leica x2 along with the leica Evf. Â Firstly, the speed of the autofocus has indeed been improved and that is actually pretty much the only thing that I am glad about. Â On the other hand, in regards to the EVF, I'm experiencing a different color tone between the Evf and the LCD. Im wondering if anyone has any experience with the EVF and should It behave this way or is there something wrong with my settings or EVF ? Â Thanks in advance ! Â With regards Nycky

threeputt Posted July 27, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted July 27, 2012 I don't have the EVF yet, but they address this on pp 114-115 in the manual. Tried to copy and paste it but the font in the manual gave this forum engine fits. Â Â Jeff

Anyone have any tips ?  For those who are interested, this is what's on the manual:  1) The monitor and the optional electronic viewfinder image displays are identical.  2) To ensure perfect visibility and to adapt to different ambient lighting situations, the brightness and the color rendition of both the monitor and the optional external electronic viewfinder can be adjusted. sfowler Posted July 28, 2012 Share #5  Posted July 28, 2012 I have one - I don't think its exact and to be honest I don't expect it to be exact. One has a higher resolution than the other. The colors are fine to me. I don't think they are 100 % exact and they may be off just a hair in color but that would be nit picking on it. I have attached a couple of photos and although the picture is taken with a not perfect cell phone camera, its fine to me. What matters is what I see in the final picture for me. The EVF is mostly to help me compose and get the shot. I especially like the EVF because it has the diopter and I wear glasses for reading. This is a big help for me because of the adjustable option. I read that the OVF doesn't have the diopter. I guess that why I went with the EVF. I have never tried the OVF - but hope to one day and depending on how it works - will see if I get it. At the moment the EVF is fine for me. Sorry for the poor photos but they are taken with a 3 year old cell phone and its not easy trying to get the picture from the EVFthru a cell phone camera. Hope this helps Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! nyckylim Posted July 28, 2012 Author Share #6 Â Posted July 28, 2012 Hey! Thanks for your reply. Â I must say that your colors are really similar between the EVF and the LCD. Â However, for mine, the colour and exposure differs quite significantly. Â I'll try to get pics of it tomorrow and post it up for review. Â Thanks a lot for taking the pics.
