Nick_S Posted March 5, 2014 Share #21 Posted March 5, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) But it is easy to experiment, just use manual coding and run through the 21mm options. Discover the one that is most perfect, then choose the one you like, it may turn out to be the same code but it doesn't matter if it isn't. The point being made by Zeiss in their communication and table seems to be to try other focal lengths, not just those of Leica lenses which are the same as the lens being coded. I was surprised that they can get ratings of "gut" out of the 21mm f/4.5 C Biogon using either 16-18-21 f4, @16mm 11626 or 24 f/2.8 ASPH 11878/11898 If anyone has a 21mm f/4.5 C Biogon lens and is willing to try these settings, I would be interested in any improvements found such as reducing the colour casts at the edges. So far I have excluded this lens from 21mm purchase options, so now I am wondering whether these settings make it any more viable for use on digital M bodies? Note to moderators: perhaps the Zeiss table and note could go in the FAQ? Nick
