Scanning services

I must scan 1 old roll of film with the maximum possible quality. Is there any professional scanning service that achieves a quality significantly better than a home scanner?

Or should I just buy a scanner? (I'm thinking about trying film anyway)

The service must be VERY professional due the private ( :D ) nature of these pics.

I'll scan them for you *innocent face* :D

There are lots of professional scan services that will scan at higher res and quality than you would get with a typical home scanner and I imagine they will often deal with nudes etc or other subjects of a more private nature. Confirm where you are based and I reckon someone will here will have some good suggestions. Wouldn't buy a scanner until you're certain you will be shooting film in decent amounts, if I were you.

P.s. you can sometimes rent time on a high quality scanner at calumet stores. Try googling them.

I have a Nikon Coolscan 8000ED which should be professional enough.
