Avatar Posted July 5, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted July 5, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) The thread title says it all. I left my house late today to find a place to shoot. I took the M9 but turned back home and switched it for the X2..This isn't a statement comparing them but I just am loving this camera so much, I wanted to use it today. I did have a 28mm 2.0 on the M9 and really wanted to switch it up as I've been using nothing but 35 for a few months. Â Regardless, the reason I am making this thread is that I am extremely pleased with the results today. I am not sure yet how 'good' the metering is and I am shooting in confusing light situations perhaps but often I am just setting by 'feel' and the results are pretty good. Â I am curious though to compare the metering to another camera.. Â The image quality is blowing me away though. I do wish the shutter speed was faster and I could set incremental ISO's..not sure why we can't do that since the camera does choose 1/2 stop ISO's in the automatic modes. Â I posted some images in the Photo section under "People'. Â As far as the 'sharpness' question that is mentioned, to me it's a non issue and the results are as sharp as I could want. Â On a few of my images today I was amazed at some unexpected ways light was captured in a subjects eyes or face..it's hard to explain exactly but there was something very cool and "Leica like' in some of the images...they were simply better than I expected. Â Always a nice surprise. Â Thought I'd share some good thoughts about the X2 here.
