Larko Posted March 9, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted March 9, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) does anyone know where i can find a comprehensive list of the 6 bit codings as i want to code this lens, also is it codeable i found http://www.digital-leica.com/lens_codes/ which was helpful, i also found a thread on the german version of the sit which says that its not codeable due to the screws on the bayonet being in the way, would i benefit from coding it as a 35 asph? any idea greatly appreciated thankyou. Advertisement Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Hi Larko, Take a look here DIY 6 bit coding for pre asph 35 summilux f1.4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
j. borger Posted March 9, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted March 9, 2007 It's not codable for the reasons you mention ......... i use mine uncoded;) But since cyan drift with 35mm is minimal ... why bother? If you want to use IR filters with it you need special size that can be srewed into the hood (12504) ... they should be available from B&W .... try Foto Huppert. SteveP Posted March 9, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted March 9, 2007 If the screws are recessed, you could still use the "thin printed paper barcode" trick. And a mylar sticker might last a few on/off cycles...
