californiajay Posted March 8, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted March 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know if when 1.10 firmware is released whether it will allow the option of turning on or off the filter corrections that it is supposed to have? Â What happens if I own 4 lenses but have filters for only 2 of them. If I have firmware that compensates for the cyan that the filters produce, and the firmware does away with this cyan, won't doing so overcompensate for a lens with no filter in place? Seems to me that the firmware upgrade should contain a menu option to turn this correction off, just as the lens recognition can already be turned on or off. Advertisement Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Hi californiajay, Take a look here Question on IR filters and 1.10 firmware. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dhoelscher Posted March 8, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted March 8, 2007 I am not the expert ... but Scott F. has looked into the current firmware 1.092, and there are already "hooks" that indicate Leica plans to offer a menu item for "IR filter on/off," so yes it appears that you'll be able to turn IR filter compensation on and off.
