If I would have had the X1, I would have not upgraded it, for 2 main reasons:

 

1) differences between X1 and X2 are there but IC remains more or less the same.

Oke, the LCD is better, AF faster, better battery management, and possibility to add the EVF.

 

2) Prices for used X1 have dropped now under 800 Euro or USD! So if you want to upgrade your X1 to a X2, take into account the lower price for X1!

 

p.s. as I did not own an X1 recently, the decision to go for the X2 was of course an easy decision for me :-)))

Very good comments John, I own an x1 and upgrading to x2 will cost me more than 1.000 eur and in my opinion it is not worthwhile. I'll enjoy my "old" camera and wish you and all the x2 owner to enjoy the new baby!

Same here. I nvr own a X1 before. Prior to that, I was using a 5DM2 with 50L and 24L. It's was really a pain for me when I on vacation. Decided to sell everything and get the X2 instead. Nvr look back ever since.
