barjohn Posted March 8, 2007 Share #1  Posted March 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Sigma SD14 has been released and there are some interesting but conflicting images being posted in the DCR Sima forum. I have been trying to follow it to see if a DP-1 should be in my future. I donwloaded one of their RAW files and opened it in LR and even at ISO 100 it doesn't look very good but some of the JPGs posted do look pretty good. It appears to require development in their SPP 3.0 software to get a good image. When developed in anything else they don't look very good. SteveP Posted March 8, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted March 8, 2007 The "captive" images they showed at Photokina were astounding. But I'm a cynic at heart. I see the DP-1 (announcement on DP Review) has been markedly improved with a hot shoe AND optical finder.
barjohn Posted March 8, 2007 Author Share #3 Â Posted March 8, 2007 No real tests of ISO performance but the one guy that has had the camera as a beta tester seems to produce some pretty good images with it.
