X2 Out of Camera JPEGs

I just got an X2 a couple of days ago. First thing I noticed was that the raw was too bright with the default Adobe Camera Raw settings. (I do have the latest update for ACR.) There is also a difference in color and, I think, less sharpening than with the JPG. The out of camera JPG is really nice and I have a hard time getting the DNG to look as good.

Overall, I'm really happy - the photos are really nice.

I agree, the raws are much brighter and less contrasty at the same time. The browns appear richer to me though in the raws.

Would love to see a RAW and JPEG from the older X1.

Sure - I hope this helps.

My setup is with this tube.

Amazon.com: RainbowImaging 49mm Filter Tube Adapter + 49MM Vented Curved Metal Hood for Leica X1: Camera & Photo

I then am able to have a B+W UV 49mm filter on the front of my camera which helps with UV rays and with my 49mm to 58 mm on top of that I can add my 58 mm polarizer if needed. Or I can remove the 49mm-58mm convertor and just put on my 49mm +10 B+W macro filter. Anyway I do it - I have the ability to use filters. I pretty much just keep my tube on all the time. Its not expensive to be honest. I had these filters originally. I just never had the macro filter. I went to B&H to get the macro filter and wanted the B+W for the simple reason I feel they are one of the best.
