Advertisement Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Hi jneilt, Take a look here Wrist strap. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wattsy Posted June 10, 2012 Share #22  Posted June 10, 2012 Leica made a wrist strap together with a leather belt bag for the 50mm f2.8 Elmar.  Yes, the wrist strap is part number 14406. It's a variation on a theme of the standard strap combined with a nice soft leather pad and IMO it works very well. I managed to get a couple last year via ebay – both as-new – for about £20 each. hoppyman Posted June 10, 2012 Share #23 Â Posted June 10, 2012 A vote for Luigi's straps here. Soft and comfortable from the outset. My first one is on its fourth camera, I think (last five years or so)
StephenPatterson Posted June 11, 2012 Share #24 Â Posted June 11, 2012 My only complaint with Luigi straps is that the colored suede he uses on the inside of the cushion tends to bleed and come off. I have the Luigi neck strap, which I would often wrap around my wrist, but in this high heat and humidity environment the red would bleed onto my hand, shirt and neck. His half case has also done the same thing to my baseplate on my M9. Â Of course the same high heat and humidity have made my Gordy's strap very soft and comfortable!!! poptart Posted June 11, 2012 Share #25 Â Posted June 11, 2012 My only complaint with Luigi straps is that the colored suede he uses on the inside of the cushion tends to bleed and come off. Â AFAIK his wrist straps do not have any suede on them.
StephenPatterson Posted June 11, 2012 Share #26 Â Posted June 11, 2012 AFAIK his wrist straps do not have any suede on them. Â Luigi's wrist strap with leather pad certainly does. This is exactly the same red suede liner that came off on my hand and clothes. I love Luigi's products as well, but this is an issue for me.
timberline12k Posted June 11, 2012 Share #27 Â Posted June 11, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) My Gordys wrist strap is now soft from using it with my X100. I've sold the X100 but plan to use the Gordys after I get my first lens and M9/M10 later this fall.

I love Luigi's products as well, but this is an issue for me. Â Oh my Luigi wrist straps don't have that but I have a shoulder strap with a pad that is lined like that as are two half cases I have, one for five years or so. I guess the colour of that lining depends upon the strap colour you choose. I've only had browns and a black wrist one recently. The pad I have is dark green. I've never had any dye come off in any form but then I'm not typically out in humidity or sweating on them, I guess. It certainly would be annoying if dye was coming off in use. I suggest the plain 12mm or half inch model for Leica M's.

I was not aware of this particular strap. I have one of his but it does not have the pad on it and therefore no suede. I think he offers quite a few wrist strap options that do not have any suede on them.
