Tullahoma Posted May 30, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted May 30, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) This Red-Headed Woodpecker visits our feeders most days, but spooks easily. Today, I was able to get some images during his visit. Â E-510 with Leica Telyt-R 250/4, 2X, Monopod, ISO 1600, RAW Â Jim Nichols

leicamann Posted May 30, 2012 Share #3  Posted May 30, 2012 Beautiful colour !! It looks a tad soft from here.. are you processing from a RAW file or using jpeg?oops my bad.. then I suggest you might want to work with " clarity" slider see of that helps..otherwise it was camera jitter. Also I think the file has been reduced enormously here.  Thanks for posting  Cheers, JRM
Tullahoma Posted May 30, 2012 Author Share #4 Â Posted May 30, 2012 Thanks for the comments, leicaman. Because I was in a hurry to get set up while the bird was around, I used a monopod. This is fine for vertical stability, but not for radial stability. Because of this, there was probably some movement. Â Jim N.
Iduna Posted May 30, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted May 30, 2012 Jim, Â the read head and the attentive eye is great. Camera movement or noise, all the same, the photo still is very good.
