Where is the best place to by lenses

I am in the market to by a 75 or 90mm f2 asph M lens.Where is the best place to do so.Is it possible to get new ones it looks to me that used ones are xspensive.

There are hundreds of dealers around the world who will sell you lenses, and there is the Buy and Sell section here.

 

All of Leica's authorised dealers are listed on their website. I would advise extreme caution when dealing with non-authorised dealers, and never buy new lenses from anyone else

Try Meister in Hamburg, Leica Shop Vienna and Robert White in the UK. For buying used ones online, the buy and sell section of this forum is among the trustworthy marketplaces.

These both seem to be in very high demand. The quoted back-order times from our Leica rep was 9 months to a year for new 75/90 f/2 lenses.

 

So those who demand instant gratification are willing to pay nearly new prices for used lenses.

KEH used - $3,650 (was $3,950! And not listed as 6-bit coded)

 

It is possible that you might find a new one in stock some place on the planet - a special order that fell through, or a "code U" factory demo lens that just came on the market. As Andy B. suggests, you just have to spend several hours calling around the authorized dealers.
