Â Canon had a prototype of dye sub printer in A4 format in the last Photokina, some kind of Selphy pro. Â But the printer never shipped... chrism Posted May 27, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted May 27, 2012 I had an Epson 2400 and I bought Quad ToneRIP and Piezography inks to use with it. When it worked, it was fairly good. Much of the time it wouldn't work, and that was because the printer would not recognise the refilled cartridges were full again. I spent a lot of time zapping their chips and recycling the power and in the end I gave up. These days I use an Epson R3000 and the Epson driver which does a satisfactory job with no fuss. I think that Epson could make a profit from a dedicated B&W printer, but it would cost a bunch more than the standard model. Â Chris Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
