HI There

This is the sixth part of the experiment - Thank you so much for chipping in on the other five shots (which are still available for download for a day or so).

this is a favourite of mine - one of the wonderful things about shooting in China is that nobody every minds you taking pictures of their children - this wonderful grandfather certainly didn't imagine that he would be in the picture as well.

It might not be gritty and cutting edge, but it's a reflection of one of the things I really liked about China

You can play with the file, and then you can post your conversion on this thread.

Enjoy!

This is my take - I'm sure you can do better

If interest continues, I'll keep posting the DNG files.

I put this version up at another place too. I think I'll save this mixture as a preset - I hope I'll have a use for it in August!

Chris- So what preset do you use? I could be interested in having it ahead of time. Thanks.

If SFXPro presets are stored somewhere, I could send it to you. Any idea where (on a mac)?

Jono, thanks again. This time, I used just few moves in Silver Efex: Push Process + 2, and some minor dodging on the faces. I'm pleased to see that I can easily get tonalities that I like, although I reaslise that this look and that of the seascape is not what most people look for. Bur I see why Jacob Aue Sobol can use this camera.

HI Mitch

yes indeed - I think he was a great choice - the images in Berlin looked splendid blown up to (I guess) 6ft?

It's not my style at all . . . . It would be lovely to have a private chat with him in some bar somewhere to discover what he really thinks! But I think you can make the camera pretty much anything that you want.

all the best
