Talking about sad, our local Opus Frames, has the Epson Pro 7900, which is 16 bit capable, but because they would have to re calibrate all of their equipment, they only use 8 bit, because the majority of their customers are not professional photographers. That means 50% of the colour detail is lost and you just as good as getting a cheap inkjet printer for home. What I might do is get a group of photographers to get together and "pool" our resources, and have our own 16 capable printer.  Now as for the colour and detail loss that happens with this web server and browser, thats been true since 2001. My website is almost only for graphic design works, an activity now not as effective as in other times, here in Spain.
