brill64 Posted May 18, 2012 Share #1 Posted May 18, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) i'm recently back from a trip and my m8.2 started acting up. roughly every second or third shot is recorded as a black frame (dng+jpg) & on further testing, i've found that the shutter makes a slightly different noise when it records a black frame. i've tried waiting until the red light stops flashing before taking a new image or reviewing, i've reinstalled the latest firmware twice since & tried three different sd cards, sandisk and panasonic 4 & 8gb. it was working fine initially then suddenly started to record black frames after deleting a few files from the card in review mode. any thoughts or tips appreciated before sending it in? brill64 Posted May 25, 2012 Author Share #4 Posted May 25, 2012 good advice indeed...after sending this in for checking my m8.2 was found to have a shutter fault & the whole shutter assembly was replaced with a brand new one. no warranty of course..but the turnaround by shcmidt marketing in hong kong was just two days only & it was ready for me to pick up.
