Iduna Posted May 14, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted May 14, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Â Â Â Â Â these are the very first attempts with a new lens on my new Canon MKII and on my old Canon 30D. The lens is an Elmarit 90 mm R-series On a grey afternoon I tried to get an impression of working with a manual focus and performance in dull light. Processed with LR I found that the lens was declared for lack of information as a 50mm focal length by the software. If anybody has an idea why this is so I would be glad to know and how to avoid this. Thanks everybody in advance for taking time and looking.

leicamann Posted May 14, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted May 14, 2012 Beautiful set, colours are spot on. Â I don't use Lighroom..so no help.there I use Adobe Camera RAW 7.2 from Adobe Bridge which I use similar I guess the way you would use Lightroom. I never liked the results Lightroom gave me so I abandoned it, same with Apeture. Working with RAW and Photoshop just seems a natural progression for me. I simply input a lens equivalent, that works for me. Â Thanks for posting images of the Kwanzan Cheery, for us when the Kwanzans are finished, the summer has begun. Â Cheers, JRM

Thanks for confirmation, Â John, thanks for your advice with Camera Raw, I will try it also again because it might be quicker than LR although I read it is the same engine behind. thanks also for the information about the botanical name of this cherry blossom. I am glad you liked it. I'll post more strange creatures of our local Botanical Garden.
