chrism Posted May 10, 2012 Share #32 Posted May 10, 2012 I wondered when I read the cryptic e-mail from Reid Reviews at lunchtime, and it's true, he has been using an X2 and an M Monochrom. Reviews are now posted up. I have claimed my #1 place on my dealer's list. Chris
Jaybob Posted May 10, 2012 Share #33 Posted May 10, 2012 I have one of those M Monochrom and a Summicron 50 already. I call it my M3, TMax 400, and the rigid. This is a TWO day event, correct? So there will MORE announced? I can hardly wait. Jay

SteveYork Posted May 10, 2012 Share #36 Posted May 10, 2012 The word out of Leica long ago was that they could improve the 50 Summicron, but it would be very expensive to do so (read here, 'cost prohibitive'), and they are true to their word. dhsimmonds Posted May 10, 2012 Share #38 Posted May 10, 2012 I think that I might stay with my colour sensor camera that allows me to convert to B & W, especially as I would get at least 5K change from buying an M9 Monochrome even after getting Silver Efex Pro! The X2 has a 24mm Elmarit which with EVF is 2.5 x the price of a Fuji X100 with a F2 lens of similar focal length...I will stay with the latter i think until the X200? soccerrick10 Posted May 10, 2012 Share #39 Posted May 10, 2012 I for one, am excited for this new M. I've been waiting for this since one member started cutting up his M to put in a B/W sensor. Never did hear if he finished that project. I guess he did - for Leica!
