Soon the vertical cables will be installed and tuned. After the cables are fully supporting the giant white roadway, the rust-colored framework below will be dismantled. The old bridge will be dismantled with torches, wrenches, cranes, etc. and put on barges. Blasting was not an option due to environmental concerns.
