X1 back from repair (Hint: Dials)

Just took delivery of my X1 after a week in Solms to replace the leatherette that came loose (X1 from the very first batch). I jumped at the opportunity to opt for the black leather and I think the Panda style looks gorgeous. On a side note, Leica also fixed the dials and they're now snappier than when i bought it years ago. I assume accidental changes when them cam is in a bag are now a thing of the past. If yours is still under warranty and you experience this problem i can only recommend to send it in.

I sent my copy to Solms three months ago as the skin had started to come away near the LCD.

 

It came back looking as if nothing much had been done and nobody had touched the dials.

Complete waste of time.

Hey Marban who did you contact to have the new covering done? Were you under warranty?

 

Also, how do you like the auto-open lens cap?

i just added the request to the special instructions field on the repair form (yes, i was under warranty with one month left).

 

can't live without the lens cap, but obviously you have to get used to the strange look when it's open.

How long was it out for. Did they fix anything else? What did you write under special instructions?
