marban Posted April 20, 2012 Share #1  Posted April 20, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just took delivery of my X1 after a week in Solms to replace the leatherette that came loose (X1 from the very first batch). I jumped at the opportunity to opt for the black leather and I think the Panda style looks gorgeous. On a side note, Leica also fixed the dials and they're now snappier than when i bought it years ago. I assume accidental changes when them cam is in a bag are now a thing of the past. If yours is still under warranty and you experience this problem i can only recommend to send it in. Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Hi marban, Take a look here X1 back from repair (Hint: Dials). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wda Posted April 21, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted April 21, 2012 I do prefer your new covering, but I cannot bring myself to be without my X1 being constantly available.
nippa Posted April 23, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted April 23, 2012 I sent my copy to Solms three months ago as the skin had started to come away near the LCD. Â It came back looking as if nothing much had been done and nobody had touched the dials. Complete waste of time.

Also, how do you like the auto-open lens cap?
marban Posted June 14, 2012 Author Share #5 Â Posted June 14, 2012 i just added the request to the special instructions field on the repair form (yes, i was under warranty with one month left). Â can't live without the lens cap, but obviously you have to get used to the strange look when it's open.

marban Posted June 18, 2012 Author Share #7 Â Posted June 18, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Nothing else. One week (I'm located just nearby in Austria). Just write something like ...use the leatherette from the black X1 and you're good to.
