DBerens Posted March 3, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there- I'm probably going to pick up a 24mm lens for my M6 in the next month or so and am wondering what people suggest for the accessory viewfinder. I looked on previous forums a bit and it seemed like a lot of people thought the current Leica viewfinder was poor in quality/too expensive. There was also mention of a CV viewfinder - is that Voightlander? Anyone have a link for it? Or should I look for the older dedicated Leica-brand viewfinder for the 24mm? As always, thanks in advance for any wisdom you can provide. -David.
Advertisement Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Hi DBerens, Take a look here Viewfinder for the 24mm. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
doubice Posted March 3, 2007 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2007 David, I find the Voigtländer finder better than the one made by Leitz. If you get one, make sure you get the later version with bright lines. Here is the link: Voigtlander Bessa RF Accessories All the best, Jan
gberger Posted March 3, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 3, 2007 David - I second Jan's suggestion. Just frame using the outside of the brightline. Alternatively, Zeiss makes a 25/28 finder that is really bright and with almost zero distortion; however, it's exzpensive ($$$ ). The 25 brightline is almost a perfect match for the 24mm at normal shooting ranges, and, if use a 28,it's ideal.
