Silverfast 6.5 Multi-Exposure function?

Hello,

Version 6.5 of Silverfast does offer a Mutli-Exposure function (not multi-sampling) where one negative is scanned up to four times with different exposures to obtain the full greyscale of the negative in a scan. It is said it does enhance the dynamic range compared to a single scan by exposing for shadows and for lights in different scans of the negative (like a virtual HDR).

SilverFast Multi Exposure :: LaserSoft Imaging

Does anyone have experiences with that function?

Regards

Oliver

Oliver,

I do have the version of SF that suports this - but its important to check that it works on your particular scanner. At the moment it is not operative for my scanner but they are gradually adding support for scanners. There is a list on their site of supported scanners.

best wishes
