As my back is against the wall for an assignment. I've noticed that my images were opening in CS5 much lighter (as if the white point was reset in CS5). I tend to darken and add more contrast in my LR edits. Then today I noticed that it was night and day what I had in LR and CS5. I then also remembered that I wan't getting the warning "would you like to work on duplicate image with LR adjustments" or something like that. What I had done was since ACR in LR4 and CS5 are not the same, 'Work in CS5 anyway" and 'Don't Warn Me Again". What I learned is I should of hit "Render with Lightroom", the other answer. I feel there might be a lot of us working in CS5 on images without out adjustments from LR 4. To get everything working again, in LR4 go to Preferences>General and tick the box "Reset Warning Dialogues", then hit "Render with Lightroom" on your first warning dialogue when exporting. 01af Posted March 27, 2012 Share #3 Posted March 27, 2012 After having edited a picture in Lightroom 4 using Process Version 2012, to open the image file directly (i. e. w/o rendering) in Photoshop CS5 you definitely will need Camera Raw 6.7 RC. Or better yet, switch to Photoshop CS6 Beta which includes Camera Raw 7.0 and Bridge 5.0—the latter being much improved over Bridge 4.0.5. No more memory leaks—finally! However, CS6 Beta is an option only for those who plan to switch to CS6 eventually ... otherwise it's back to CS5 after 60 days which probably will kill you. I think half the problem with people who were having problems (and still having problems) with LR4 Release Candidate, were people that had been using LR4 Beta heavily and or didn't dispose of the Beta properly. Therefore, I will just wait for what I anticipate will be 6 weeks or so for CS6 Release Candidate and buy the upgrade. Again, 6.7 will give you the warning message. I just hit "Render with Lightroom" (to me the more counterintuitive choice) and then "Don't Show Again". No problems since then. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
