Lightroom's NR definitely has a light touch, which is a good thing. If you want to flatten out any substantial noise, though, 100% in LR isn't going to do it. You need Noise Ninja for that.

Sorry to come late to the party, but I'm curious. On my monitor the LR processed images seem considerably sharper and more detailed in the face than the C1 images. I can see pore detail in one much more than in the other.

 

Do you see this too?

Just a update this is a fairly old thread and the firmware has changed but still a good reference point. I would like to actually do this again once things settle done with 1.102 and some newer profiles. I have some studio stuff coming up with some high school girls with great skintones that would be good for this , there friends of my daughters that want me to do there senior pictures instead of the hired ones the school does. So i am setting up 20 in a day with hair and makeup artists. So once i get that shot it will be a great source of images for a Raw convertor test again since it will be all controlled light.
