Previous Thread links misbehaving since forum update?

Has anyone else been having problems with the Previous Thread links on each page of a thread misbehaving since the forum software was updated recently?

 

For as long as I've used the forum, clicking Previous Thread has (I think) moved to the thread in the current forum whose most recent message is the last message posted before the most recent message in the current thread. Usually this is the same as moving to the next thread as displayed the Threads in Forum view (except where stickies complicate things). Clicking Previous Thread in successive threads gradually takes me through every recently updated thread in the forum.

 

For the last few days, however, clicking Previous Thread takes me to a previous thread, but not necessarily the immediately previous one. Often it skips several threads with unread messages.

 

I can't see anything in my forum settings that could account for it. It happens to me both with Firefox 11 and IE9, so I don't see how it could be something on the computer.
