ghadden Posted February 28, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted February 28, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all. I'm considering a V-Lux 1 and understand that noise becomes an issue when shooting above ISO 200, especially when printing larger than 8x10s. What's the deal when shooting in RAW? Can anyone share their experiences using this camera in RAW mode, how prints look, whether noise is significantly reduced? Â Many thanks! Don't know who you were listening to for the "I understand" statement. Web reviews seem to give good reports.
digibob Posted April 16, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted April 16, 2007 Hi,noise at 400 iso in raw is very evident never gone to 800.100 iso is the spot. This camera gives good results ,if somewhat soft images and has good build quality, feels solid in the hand + the A/S controls = thumb and forefinger, allows you to stay in the view finder. .It takes a few seconds to digest the raw files to the card,so not practical for rapid shooting. On zoom its noisy ,on video its noisy,on close up work it's good. Got my self a digilux3 after having it a couple of weeks but now realise the answer lies with other leica lenses and an M8.An exspensive learning curve for me ,so get youre criteria and all the best.rob

zaronita Posted May 14, 2007 Share #7  Posted May 14, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello wigi,  How do you make a pic at 800 ISO without noise ? My shots included the 100 ISO, have "some" noise.  Did't you use a noise removal ?  Thanks  Salvador
