I thought you could edit curves? There may be a box next to the curves window that you need to select. I'll have a play when I get home.

Oh bloody nora! I didn't see that!!!

That is certainly new to LR4. Wowzers. I stand corrected they actually listened!

Thanks very much!

Yes, that's new to Lr 4 (and to Camera Raw 7.0, too).

Those who want to learn just how mind-boggingly powerful this new tool really is, I strongly recommend the book Professional Photoshop by Dan Margulis (Peachpit Press) ... even though Dan's writing style is, umm, weird—he often tries to be funny, witty, or ironic but fails every time. Apart from that, his books are packed with an overwhelming wealth of tips, tricks, and information. Even an older edition will do.

I use different Nikon D3 and D2x bodies in my workflow, and I'm pretty sure that the correction profiles do not take into consideration the camera body or the combination of lens and body, just the lens. I say that because applied corrections look very similar, even though the D3 has a full frame sensor and the D2x is a cropped frame.

However, I could be completely wrong. This Adobe LINK is vague.

thanks for this comment. been wondering the same. also, how accurately focal length in zoom lenses is taken into account by fix algorithm, would be nice to know.

Sorry. But what is new? The Curve has been editable since LR1 Beta. What is new is the ability to edit the RGB Channels separately.

Good question Roy. I've always been pleased to see the Mac upload was smaller and probably faster when it came to the Adobe upgrades.

Can you guess which system I'm using? :D
