Hi,

 

I had bought my DLux 5 about 2 weeks ago and was happily running LR 3.6 when I decided to see what the latest version was.

 

After seeing that LR 4 was out, I emailed Leica customer service were they promptly gave me a version 4 license and asked that I download the trial edition and apply the license to it.

 

In the majority of cases, most software bundles that I have come across are as is w/o any complimentary upgrade but it never hurts to ask.

 

I am very happy to be a Leica customer and its kinda funny because the red dot had no real meaning to me when I bought the DLux.

 

It just felt better and seemed to take better pics that its twin the LX5. I had both side by side at the store snapping pics and am by no means a photo-person of any kind. In fact I had never heard of Leica before looking around for a great point and shoot.

Same here. I bought a D-Lux 5 three days before Lightroom 4 was announced. having only just downloaded Lightroom 3.

 

I contacted Leica and they gave a free upgrade, just download again.

 

Thats pretty good service I think, impressive.
