Manolo Laguillo Posted March 11, 2012 Share #81 Posted March 11, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) let me drift as well... this particular 8x10 enlarger was put together by myself using an 18x24 vertical enlarger with a column that rested on the floor and was attached to the wall. The projection table was a vacuum one. Everything was attached to that column. My arrangement consisted in adapting a Durst 25x25 cm cold light head on top of the existing negative holder. And yes, the biggest enlargement from the 8x10 negatives was 20x24, because that was the max paper's size I could handle in the wet side. The differences between the 20x24 prints respectively made from a 4x5 negative and a 8x10 one was clearly and immediately visible, even by an outsider. Manuel Álvarez Bravo wrote on a wall of his darkroom the following sentence: "Hay tiempo, hay tiempo" (there is time, there is time) ...
