stickan1 Posted February 29, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted February 29, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Normally there should be at least 50 cm of snow here in February. The photograph is from Feb 28th and the location is Sweden, 60 degrees north. Pictures from inside forests are difficult, so comments are appreciated. I used a CV 15mm and my M9. Advertisement Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Hi stickan1, Take a look here Winter forest. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted March 1, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted March 1, 2012 Stig, Â Indeed, the lighting is very difficult to get the results you are looking for, The warm sunlight is great but there is a lot of area of values that are too dark. Maybe converting this to b&w and adjusting the brightness and contrast as well as experimenting on the exposure slider may lead to better things. It may be worth trying. stickan1 Posted March 1, 2012 Author Share #3 Â Posted March 1, 2012 Thanks for your comments Paul. As always they are useful. A have lightened the darkest parts and decreased the contrast. I think it is better now, but I want to keep the feeling of the bright spring sun and the contrasts that you have in a forest. Iduna Posted March 1, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted March 1, 2012 Stig, Â I agree very much with Paul, the second version is much better now and next to what you probably wanted to show. For the viewer for forrest now is more inviting. also here in Germany where I live there was not even that bit of snow. Strange.
