hifigraz Posted February 14, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted February 14, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there! Â I've a set of Yongnuo 603 for my canon. Unfortunatly they don't fire without modification on the leica. I've read, that the Nikon ones work well with the M9. Does somebody know if they can be mixed? In other words, can I buy a single yongnuo 603 Nikon transceiver and fire my canon 603s with it? Â Best Robert

dwbell Posted February 14, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted February 14, 2012 As far as I know, yes. Â I have all 602's but the Nikon Tx unit (which works on the M9) fires the Rx units which came packaged with the canon Tx. So long as the channels are set the same. Similalrly the canon Tx fires the "Nikon" Rx. Conclusion is of course that there's only one Rx unit period, and the Tx unit is identical except for the pin layout on the mount. cheewai_m6 Posted May 15, 2013 Share #6 Â Posted May 15, 2013 i have nikon rf-603 and the leica m-e does not work with the 603. it works with the 602 as i have done a shoot with it. but definitely not the 603. Â i bought a set of 603 (nikon) because i have a nikon and because the 602 worked with the m-e, i though the 603 would too. i was wrong. as mentioned in another thread, i'm wondering whether a flash cord on the m-e with the 603 plugged into the hot shoe of the flash cord, would work. Â anyone tried this?
John Ricard Posted May 16, 2013 Share #7 Â Posted May 16, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Nikon DB800 works great with M9 in manual mode. Push buttons at 12 and 6 o'clock to raise and lower power output.
