i dont want leica to have anything like microsoft, thought i made that clear. im happy with leica the way they are and have been since i bought my first 3b off ebay years ago.

"I'll bet Leica would be very, very pleased to earn profits in a year that Microsoft earns in one minute.

Rex"

not sure thats what leica are shooting for. they want to satisfy a niche photographic segment that cares about excellence and the extra 5% of quality that you get with their cameras/lenses while staying profitable and keeping their employees fed. some aren't motivated by world domination and vulgar profit at the expense of their customers (while producing inferior products). maybe im naive and idealistic but i just dont think leica is that kind of company....b

If only Leica would get 1.10 out, I could be a great photographer!

You should have seen the great word processor Shakespeare used...

When I think of the great photos taken with equipment way inferior to the M8, all this whining seems so absurd.

Yes, it'd be nice if the M8 was perfect, and we're used to M film cameras with years and years of developement being close to perfect. And, if you're a pro, and the camera is hurting business, I understand your pain. If not return, or sell the f***ing camera, and get on with your life.

Leica is working on the camera. They're not working on their relationship with you. To feel disrepected by them, or entitled to attention is just silly. Stop whining.

Sandy, the other issue is that while we may all "pay the same" for the equipment,

Actually, we dont! In the Uk we tend to pay pound for dollar. If i bought an M8 in New York I can save £500 which is about $900.

People in Uk have a lot more financial investment, I think.
